Natural Body armors add to the above values, as does any magical aids. Anything above with a Def of 2 or more and that is not Alien Tech that was crafted with an X (Exceptional) or C (Colossal) success result gets a +1 or +2 to it’s Def due to it’s quality.

Armor defense is purely an absorbtion of damage, not a reduction of the chance of being hit.

Wearing Physical Armor as above reduces the ability to avoid being hit. For every 2 points of physical armor worn a character is at -1 to Dexterity Defense and/or Acrobatics Defense against being hit. This does not apply to armor protection from magic or natural armor, nor the defense from use of shield of blocking weapons.

(Quality additions to armor also do not add to the reduction of Dexterity/Acrobatics Defense).
