College Student

(Minor Unfavorable Trait)

An Undergraduate college student lives a life with a lot of regime under the control of people other than the character. They spend most of their time in or near the college campus, live on campus, attend lectures, take tests, write papers, do lots of research in the library, and have to bow down to the authority of nearly everyone else on campus. Additionally they are bound to the wishes of their parents, guardian or a particular scholarship program in regards to what they can take courses in, what kind of grades are epected of them and how they should behave.

Luckily this is one of the few traits that can change status thru actual play, so it's not necessarily a permanent set of limits on a character, but should be in place for a hefty period of play before it could be changed.

A character with this trait cannot take any skill at greater than 5 ranks at start (this limit does not count on attribute/characteristic ranks or ranks gained from any other trait).

It cannot be taken at the same time as Graduate Student, College Faculty, or Tenured Professor.

It cannot be taken in a culture that lacks a higher education system, or where such may be limited because the character fits certain prejudice criteria in a country.
