A character with this trait makes really bad choices when it comes to romance and relationships. Whoever they choose to date, have sex with, become romantically involved with, become engaged to, marry or form long term partnerships with almost inevitably turns out to hurt them, become abusive or annoying, jealous or petty. It's a pattern with them, and they are always blinded to the faults of whoever they become involved with until it's them getting hurt and run over (and even then they may deny it, blame it on themselves or blame it on others).

There's something in the person that makes them want to make these bad choices, psychologically, and it will be a big deal in every step in their lives. They draw pain to themselves and ignore it until it overwhelms them.

This trait is inappropriate if the GM does not want romance in a storyline in any way, or relationship baggage to be part of character backgrounds. Otherwise it fits in almost any campaign.

This trait cannot be taken at the same time as Bitter Personality or Sexually Dysfunctional.
