(Major Favorable Trait)

This is primarily for a character who is a College Faculty member, a scientist or an artist. They have a source of income from a private institution such as a philanthropic foundation, religious organization, museum, private club, major corporation or from a government to support their work and efforts. This gives them access to a regular personal income based on their resources (equivilant to a Independent Major Income) and an annual nest egg of (resources * $200)that can be spent on research, equipment, travel, staff, space rental etc related to the field that they are working in.

Each year they must show some progress or results on their project, and if they fail to do so then this trait fails. Additionally those who control the grant may question expenditures, drop in unexpectedly to visit and see how work is going etc and if not properly treated or impressed with the way work is going them may decide to remove funding.

If a member of College Faculty the character will get some lab space for free from the college as part of this, but if they lose their grant there is some chance that their position with the college may also be lost.
