A character with this trait owes a debt to a benefactor of considerable size, and is working off that debt through service to them and their interests. This is often a debt for entering into a country from a great distance, paying off a court debt or a tax debt.

Indentured Servitude is not available as a trait in all the cultures an countries in Zamani, discussing this and the details of it with your GM before taking this trait. Generally this is a trait that takes years to slowly pay the debt off for, and restricts the freedom of action of the character.

A character with this trait cannot have any traits related to independent income, assets or ownership of real estate or locations.
