Iracundia Isles

An island chain just north of and along the equater of Jarro, east of the continent of Avira. The Isle closest to Avira is about 400 Kilometers (aprox. 250 miles) from that coastline, the furthest lying some 1020 Kilometers (Aprox. 630 miles) away.

The islands are of volcanic origin and have some of the most active volcanos on Jarro. They also are some of the most fertile growing soils in the world, because of these same volcanos.

The native population have developed their own language, Flowmara. It is believed that the population moved to the various isles, migrating from Avira before recorded history began. They are not as technologically advanced in many ways as much of the people's of Avira, and have limited contact with much of modern Jarro societies.

Several different, mostly tribal, native governments are in control of the islands. They have practiced limited raiding and small scale warfare among themselves for centuries.

The Belgravian Republic, Perdrix, The Empire Of Tamarand and Zeitland all appear to have interests in trading with, setting up colonies on, or taking control of many of these Islands. Some limited naval engagements and privateering/piracy problems have occured in the water of these Isles in recent years.

So far the islands are mostly free from these outside aggressors.
