Mute (Severe Unfavorable Trait)

A character with this trait lacks functional vocal chords, has had their tongue cut out or been permanently cursed with muteness. They cannot scream or utter any sound.

A character with this trait cannot take the skills of Acting, Conversation, Fast Talk, Interrogation, Mimicry, Oratory, Persuasion, Ventriloquism and Musical Instrument Voice (Singing).

They also take a -5 to the base of the skills Bribery, Carousing, Seduction,Streetwise and Trading

They also cannot perform magic using Incantations in any way, or require them to vocally lay out instructions (such as controlling a summoned diva).

Taking this on a player character should be really thought about carefully, since it means you cannot communicate with the other characters except by sign language, gestures or written notes.

This trait cannot be taken with Booming Voice or Small Voice traits.
