(Major Unfavorable Trait)
Sleepwalking (also called noctambulism or somnambulism), is a sleep disorder where the character engages in activities that are normally associated with wakefulness while asleep or in a sleep-like state.
Activities such as eating, dressing, cooking, house cleaning, or even driving cars may take place while the subjects are technically asleep.
Sleepwalkers engage in their activities with their eyes open so they can navigate their surroundings, not with their eyes closed and their arms outstretched as popular media would have one believe. The victims' eyes may have a glazed or empty appearance and if questioned, the subject will be slow to answer or will be unable to respond in an intelligible manner.
Accidents may happen as the subject is performing actions without the control of conscious mind. Some people may even commits criminal offenses while asleep, since the usual inhibitions are not in place.
Waking a sleepwalker, despite claims to the contrary, is not dangerous to them. It may leave them disoriented or embarrassed, but not directly harm them. There is some danger that some sleepwalkers will become aggressive at being interrupted without realizing what was going on. Assaults and even a homicide might be invoked by waking them (though the last is very rare).
If left walking they may have terrible accidents, people have been reported to have fallen out of windows while sleepwalking and died as a result.
A Character that is sleepwalking gets no defensive skills if they end up engaged in combat, but will get their normal DEX for a defense value.
