(Major Favorable)
This trait can only be taken by a character with the trait College Faculty. It designates that the character has all the advantages of that position but no longer is bound by the limitations of having to regularly produce research, write papers or even bring prestige to the College/University that they are connected to. They basically have permanent residency, a steady source of income, social power over untenured Professors within their department and cannot be removed from their position by the administrators at a whim or because of minor infractions of policy.
They can request budgetary funds for special personal projects, travel at the University's expense to various seminars, enclaves, conventions, museums, etc within their areas of expertise. They may take sabaticals away from their own school, possibly to act as a 'Guest Scholar' for a period of time at another University or College (generally not more than a year) if they choose to continue active research/writing in their field.
If a PC starts with this trait they can have up to 3 Skills at a rank greater than 10, up to a maximum of rank 15 (or one at rank 20). They must have at least one Skill that is their area of Expertise at least at rank 15.
Generally a character with this trait should at least be of middle age, having worked their way thru the system. They must have a Resources attribute of at least 5.
This trait cannot be taken at the same time as College Student, Disgraced Professor, Youth or Graduate Student.
