The Timi are lesser Divas from the 8th dimension, and are generally encountered in normal 4th dimensional space as a Bound Minor Diva. They are generally half the size of an adult humanoid of whatever species they are conceived to look like (but cannot emulate a shapeshifter). They may be male or female in appearance and function, but Timi are incapable of actual production of offspring.
The process of acquiring a Timi is a long and prolonged one that involves a certain amount of personal sacrifice on the part of the character, but is not a religious one. Very few religious magical practitioners can acquire a Timi, despite the large number of religions associated with the 8th dimension.
Occasionally a non-mage will have a Timi attached to them. Some very powerful spellcasters will, for example, acquire a Timi for their children to act as a companion/servant/protector.
A Timi generally has no Resource Attribute. They have an Education Attribute that is a mere 1 at start, and their other attributes are set at a 3, with calculation of their derrivatives in the usual manner thus they have 15 wounds that they can sustain.
All Timi have a Mystic Perception (usually Sight).
Generally a Timi is trained in a small number of skills that are useful to the character it is bound to,
which will not and cannot include spellcasting. A timi is a faithful servant and will do whatever it is told by who it is bound to, they are not without personal initiative, so they can occasionally misinterpet instructions. Timi always speak the native language of the person they are bound to.
A Timi may have or develop complex personality quirks over time - they can know fear, pain, sorrow, pleasure, happiness etc. They are not some mindless automaton, complex illusion or animated dead corpse.
Once play begins, a Player's Timi will gain 1 Growth Point for skills for every 5 points that the character gains.
The real power of the Timi is that Timi's cannot die for good. They are a possession you cannot lose thru it's destruction. The death of the owner will kill the Timi's body, returning it's essence to it's native plain.
When a Timi's body takes all it's wounds points it's remains will become a disappating wift of smoke. It's owner must simply say "It's time to get another Timi!". Exactly one day later, after making that statement, a perfect and whole naked Timi (with all it's previous attributes and skills) will appear within arms reach of the character.
A character cannot have more than one Timi bound to them.
